Top Ten Movie List

Christians are to act in ways that reflect what is written in scripture. That includes the foods and drinks they choose to consume, the music they decide to listen to, what they choose to read, and the television shows and movies they choose to watch.

With that though in mind, as an example, and just for a little excursion, the following is the author's top ten movie list. It should be pointed out that since the author is not a particularly extremely devoted movie fan, maybe has not seen some movies that are generally considered classics, or some movies that some people might think is their favorite. So this is just a list based upon one person's viewpoint. Notably, a couple of common elements in just about all of the movies is that there is a clear struggle between good and evil, and no or very little sexual content. Also, the list does not contain any horror movies because the author believes that as a general rule, watching horror movies is not appropriate for a Christian.

Disclaimer: 1) The author tends to favor action, adventure, science fiction, and comedy movies over the drama, and romance genres. Therefore, note that a number of the movies contain some strong, though non-gratuitous, violence, and parts which may be emotionally and/or visually jarring. 2) Some people may find some of these movies unacceptable for them to watch according to their understanding of scripture, and/or due to their own personal taste or disposition. Scripture teaches to have such discernment; for the movies and in everyday life, and for one's self and towards others as well (Prov. 2:3-6, Matt. 5:30, 1 Cor. 8:9). 3) The listing is not arranged in any particular order.
